配价理论(Valenztheorie)作为结构主义的一部分，形成于1960年。结构主义形成前的语法研究主要是针对个别词的研究、词类的划分、词的形态变化的研究。相反，配价理论主要揭示句子中各词之间的从属关系。 自从价(Valenz)，这一概念引用到语言学以后，取得了许多显著成果。重要的是配价理论不仅对本国语言的教学，而且对外语教学，以及对机器翻译有很高的实际应用价值。 Vilmos Agel(1995)提出，目前为止的配价理论研究的主要问题是不仅把研究的焦点只放在找出“潜在的价(Valenzpotenz)”，而且弄混了“潜在的价”和“配价的实现”这两个概念。所谓“潜在的价”，是在句子中决定句型的词汇的能力[Agel(1995)]。而一个句子以怎么样的形态，怎么样的语法形式来形成，不仅在不同语言之间不同，而且在同一个语言内也随着不同的情况而不同。 因此，本论文通过分析韩国语动词“tsuda, tuda, pat?t?a , nanuda”的语义-结构特征，在语义平面分析出潜在的语义价，考察这些角色在句子中的结合关系。
